Korean Jane

Korean Jane

Strange, how women of a certain age
Rage against the inevitable change

Choosing non- deplumes, darkened rooms to groom
Hiding behind facial packs and stacks of bent photos
Of who knows, holding in her stomach that grew two

Hoping to hide, disguise the stretching marks
These ripples, sand patterns of snaking belly branding

Her pink oasis, totally bereft of forgiving
Like creeping living years, tears and unexplained fears
Of the vain, tattoo stained, Korean Jane
